Learner Engagement Officer
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Location: Durham, Northeast England
Contract: Full-time | Permanent
We are seeking a Learner Engagement Officer to support learner recruitment, outreach, and enrolment across Adult Skills Fund (ASF) programmes and Skills Bootcamps.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping adults access education, develop skills, and move into employment. You will work closely with Job Centres, community organisations, and referral partners to identify and engage learners who can benefit from training and employability programmes.

The Role
As a Learner Engagement Officer, you will recruit and engage adults onto funded AEB courses and employability programmes.
Key responsibilities:

Promote and recruit learners onto AEB courses and Skills Bootcamps
*
Build relationships with Job Centres, community organisations, and referral partners
*
Engage unemployed or under-employed adults who can benefit from training
*
Support learner enrolment and onboarding
*
Provide Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to prospective learners
*
Organise outreach events and recruitment activities
*
Monitor recruitment activity and report against targets
*
Maintain accurate learner records and enrolment data
*
Support learners throughout their learning journey
About You
Essential:
*
Experience within Adult Education, Employability, or Skills Training
*
Experience in learner recruitment, outreach, engagement, or enrolment
*
Knowledge of AEB programmes or Skills Bootcamps
*
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*
Good organisational and IT skills
Desirable:
*
IAG qualification or willingness to work towards one
*
Experience working with Job Centres or community partners
