About The Role
This is a 12-month assignment, running until August 2027.
Geographic area of responsibility: Based in Reading 4 days a week, 1 day in London.
The Facilities Manager will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the customer’s property portfolio, including accounting, maintenance and repair, cleaning services, Front of house and helpdesk. The Facilities Manager will handle all service requests and act as first point of escalation and assist in the preparation of the annual budget and management reporting and must strong compliance background. You will also be responsible for supporting management’s efforts in the day-to-day maintenance and implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will ensure a well‑managed, well‑maintained estate and deliver a safe working environment for client staff, visitors and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily cleaning operations across all facilities
* Ensure hygiene standards meet health and safety regulations
* Manage cleaning contracts, schedules, and performance reviews
* Implement sustainable and efficient cleaning practices
* Conduct regular audits
* Develop and manage budgets for all service areas
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
* Lead service improvement initiatives and innovation
* Report on KPIs, incidents, and operational performance
* Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in facilities management, ideally in a multi‑service environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Right to work in the UK
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
* Knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene, and security protocols
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH, BICS, NEBOSH, or equivalent) desirable
