Analyst - Global Trade Compliance
• Location: Frimley - UK
• Function: Global Trade Compliance
This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract position and candidate must be available immediately
Overview:
The Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the organization meets the requirements for importing/exporting goods in the region.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that correct proof of origin is archived to support preferential trade agreements
2. Populating SAP system with correct data for import/export operations
3. Assist regional and global team in classifying products’ HTS codes
4. Compile records to substantiate country of origin claims
5. Audit import/export Customs documentation to ensure accuracy of records
6. Verify required corrective action is implemented for any inaccuracies found
7. Assist in execution of trade compliance processes as required
8. Assist in the execution of logistics projects as required
9. Communicate regularly with the import brokers/freight forwarders on open issues
10. Escalate serious or significant discrepancies immediately to the attention of the Manager
11. Other GTC related responsibilities as needed
Experience you’ll bring:
Essential Requirements:
12. Graduate caliber
13. Experience of working on SAP System
14. Analytical skills necessary but what is essential is data interpretation
15. Knowledge of the complexities of moving products across borders: international freight, duties, custom brokers, freight forwarders, and ocean/air carriers
16. Proven import/export compliance experience with regional knowledge gained in practice
17. Excellent Excel skills
18. Knowledge of HTS, INCOTERMs, country of origin rules, import/export laws and regulations
19. A second European Language is a nice to have
20. Experience in basic automation such as creating macros in Excel.
