THIS VACANCY IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY THIS POST COULD BE CONSIDERED AS A SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY About the Role The Sustainable Digital Scholarship service sits within the Bodleian Libraries and supports researchers and GLAM staff across the University to ensure the long-term sustainability of digital research projects. The service works closely with a wide range of academic and professional services colleagues, particularly those engaged in digital humanities research and practice. You will support the work of the Sustainable Digital Scholarship service, working closely with the SDS team and project staff to improve the digital sustainability of a diverse portfolio of research projects. Much of this work will involve supporting the migration and management of projects on the Sustainable Digital Scholarship repository, using a platform based on Figshare technology. You will contribute to the administration of the service, help manage workflows for projects requiring digital sustainability support, monitor and coordinate the pipeline of projects planned for migration, and liaise with academic and professional services colleagues across the Humanities Division and GLAM. This is a fixed-term post until 30 November 2026, working part time for 15 hours per week. The anticipated working pattern is two days per week. The role can be undertaken on a hybrid or fully remote basis. About You You will have a first undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, together with relevant experience supporting academics, researchers, or similar colleagues. You will demonstrate an understanding of approaches to ensuring the long-term sustainability of digital projects, or the willingness and ability to develop this knowledge. You will be able to organise and prioritise your work effectively, delivering to agreed schedules and standards, and you will have excellent communication skills.
