KS2 Class Teacher – Watford

Job Type: Full-time | Long Term
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: Pay to scale/ Dependent on experience

Protocol Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Teacher to join a warm and supportive primary school in Watford from January 2026. This is a long term opportunity from January to July 2026 allowing you to make a meaningful impact in Key Stage 2.

You will work alongside an experienced full-time Teaching Assistant and a collaborative senior leadership team who value creativity, professionalism, and a strong sense of community. The school encourages staff to share ideas, innovate, and contribute fully to whole-school life.

Key Responsibilities of a KS2 Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons for KS2 pupils

2. Differentiate learning to support a wide range of needs and abilities

3. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

4. Demonstrate enthusiasm, high expectations, and a commitment to outstanding education

5. Participate in ongoing CPD to develop excellent teaching practice

6. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community

What We’re Looking For in a KS2 Teacher:

7. QTS, ECT, FQT, PGCE – all qualified teachers are welcome to apply

8. Strong understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum

9. Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

10. A passion for motivating and inspiring pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education

11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Important Information

All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training. Pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This role is temporary with the potential for a permanent contract.

We offer FREE online Safeguarding and Prevent Duty training. All candidates must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
