Up to £42,000, depending on your skills and experience. What You'll Be Doing:
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of maritime platforms. Your responsibilities will include: Creating
Installation Design Solutions
for new equipment integration, including Electrical/System Drawings, Cable Route Drawings, and Installation Instructions. Collaborating with the
MoD Customer
and industry partners to develop agreed Equipment Integration Requirements. Conducting
Ship Surveys
to support design integration and manage equipment configurations. Configuring and maintaining
Ship Databases
for Electrical Power Distribution and Blown Fibre Networks. Producing
Feasibility Studies
for ships and equipment. Working closely with in-house teams, including Mechanical, Structural, HVAC, and Project Management. Engaging with industry partners and technical authorities. Supporting detailed design activities for ship-builds and submarines. Providing technical input to ensure the safety of design services deliverables. Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential: Strong knowledge of
Electrical Systems theory
. Ability to interpret and apply
Electrical Design Standards
. Working knowledge of
Electrical Installation Practices
and Distribution Systems. Familiarity with
CAD/Engineering Drawing Toolsets
. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
applications. ONC/HNC in
Electrical Engineering
or equivalent. Must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance to SC level. Benefits:
