About the role
You will act as the resident I&C engineer at the ICMS supplier’s premises, representing the Contractor’s interests while ensuring technical integrity and timely delivery of the ICMS scope of work. This position requires strong technical expertise in control and safety systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively between multiple stakeholders.
This role involves acting as part of the Contractor’s I&C team while stationed at the ICMS supplier’s site in Norwich.
Responsibilities
* Serve as part of the Contractor’s I&C team (based in The Hague) while stationed at the ICMS supplier’s site in Norwich.
* Review and monitor the ICMS supplier’s planning, scheduling, and preparation activities for the ICMS scope of work.
* Maintain regular communication with the ICMS supplier, ensuring visibility into work progress and team performance.
* Coordinate and interface with the Contractor’s I&C team regarding technical input planning and provide clear instructions for system configuration and design requirements.
* Act as the primary technical liaison between the Contractor’s I&C team and the ICMS supplier, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and expediting open actions.
* Track, maintain, and follow up on all open action items between both parties to ensure closure within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Control System Engineer with proven expertise in control and safety systems engineering.
Required Skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey priorities and instructions clearly.
* Demonstrated ability to uphold Contractor’s values and maintain a firm, professional stance in negotiations and technical discussions.
