We are seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to lead the construction of a new Grid Supply Point (substation) at Brycir, North Wales. This £20m PTNO/PTC1 project, part of National Grid's Great Grid Partnership, is currently in its ECI phase, with site access planned for July 2026 and completion by the end of 2028.
You will set the standard for safety, culture, and behaviour on site, preparing and implementing Safe Systems of Work, and ensuring successful delivery from conception to completion in line with Morgan Sindall standards. Essential requirements include civils and earthworks experience, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications, and a degree or HNC/HND in a relevant technical discipline.
Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the project, driving quality, programme, and customer satisfaction, and leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding results. Experience working with and managing contractors within a traditional construction project, a sound understanding of safety legislation including CDM, and knowledge of commercial issues affecting project performance are also required. Energy sector experience is desirable.
