A Vacancy at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The Learning Disability team offer interventions to support children and young people aged 0-19 who have a diagnosis of a moderate to profound learning disability and an additional need of a mental illness or behaviours that are challenging to manage.

The team provides behavioural interventions collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and local services, to help children and young people to experience the best lives that they can.

Clinical support workers play a vital role in this work, ensuring that care plans are enacted and providing direct input for the children, young people and their families.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) to join our team.

You will sit on our duty rota alongside a qualified member of staff, and be responsible for completing check in calls, reviewing risk assessments under the supervision of a qualified member of staff, and offering telephone support to families and other professionals who contact our duty team.

This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same.


You will:

* Be based at Finch Road Primary Care Centre, where you would support the qualified member of staff on duty.
* Support families and carers during periods of stress or crisis.
* Answer queries from families and other professionals who call in to the duty team.
* Contribute to maintaining safety, dignity, and wellbeing in all aspects of care Welcome to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
