An exciting oppertunity has arisen to join a established IPC team in secondary care and also to work in a newly set up primary care IPC team.
To take an active role providing support to the Infection Prevention team in the delivery of the health board Infection Prevention Strategic Improvement Plan within the competencies of the role. This role is based both in Primary and Secondary care on a rotation basis
* To assist and support the Infection Prevention team with the delivery of the Infection Prevention Improvement plan.
* To lead in Infection Prevention audit activities e.g., Environmental monitoring audit, Hand hygiene audit, Isolation audit, care bundle compliance and report findings to the Infection Prevention nurse.
* To undertake surveillance activities as directed including basic data collection to support surveillance programmes (demographics, device utilization etc)
* Ensure Infection Prevention posters and other materials are displayed correctly across the hospital
* Assist in other duties as appropriate to competency
* Organise and prioritise workload with direction and supervision of the senior members of the Infection Prevention Team.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates.
