We are looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) to join our Parking Enforcement team. This role is part-time, 18 hours per week, permanent, and starts immediately.
Job Description
As a Civil Enforcement Officer you will patrol car parks and streets within East Suffolk Council’s boundary, report issues, and issue Penalty Charge Notices. You must maintain a professional, proactive, and customer‑focused approach, while working 11‑hour shifts in a continuous 2 days on, 6 days off pattern.
Key Responsibilities
 * Patrol designated areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations.
 * Issue and collect Penalty Charge Notices where necessary.
 * Maintain accurate records of all enforcement activity.
 * Engage with the public in a polite, empathetic, and professional manner.
 * Use smart parking technology and software efficiently.
 * Support team initiatives to improve service delivery.
What You Will Need
You should have experience working in a front‑line service environment and be able to converse with the public under a variety of situations, remaining polite and empathetic. You must be proficient with smart technologies and software, able to learn new systems, and possess a full driving licence.
