Contract
Full time, 37 hours per week, fixed term for 2 years. National Minimum Wage.
Role Overview
We support people who cannot manage their own money, providing financial assessments for those receiving care from Adult Social Care. As an ASC Finance Apprentice you will gain a Level 2 Finance Assistant apprenticeship qualified by the council, with the opportunity to progress to Level 3 after one year.
Key Responsibilities
* Deal with incoming post, investigate and respond to enquiries regarding financial assessments or assessed contributions.
* Provide information and advice to individuals in writing or over the telephone.
* Process applications for council to manage money, pay bills on behalf of people and ensure they have access to spending money.
* Complete financial assessments to determine if contributions are required and raise invoices.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Interest in working for Leicester City Council and enthusiasm to learn during apprenticeship.
* Willingness to learn finance administration and support people receiving care.
* Good communication skills.
* Confidence in using IT applications.
Training and Development
20% off-job training to support the Level 2 Finance Assistant course and potential Level 3 progression.
