The Senior Coordinator will coordinate talent acquisition initiatives and activities for law student, lateral associate and business services recruiting in the Washington, DC office. Work closely with the US Recruiting Team, Recruiting Committee and local Washington, DC office leadership to attract and retain talented attorneys and business services professionals. Key responsibilities and deliverables Student Recruiting Support the firm's US law school outreach strategy - work closely with the US recruiting team to ensure the firm is well represented at law schools across the country Coordinate law student screening and callback interviews, collect interview feedback Work closely with the recruiting committee with respect to Summer Program offer decisions, managing yield on offers and assembling a summer class that represents a diverse array of law schools and individuals Maintain applicant tracking system Summer Program Coordinate the planning of the annual summer associate program including an eclectic events and training calendar Coordinate logistics for planning and executing social events Oversee the Summer offer process in close coordination with the Recruiting Committee Serve as a trusted resource to all Summer Associates before, during, and after their time at the firm Lateral Recruiting Collect and review candidate materials and distribute to hiring managers across practice areas as appropriate Coordinate interview logistics including but not limited to sending confirmation emails, calendaring meetings, setting up video links and/or making conference room reservations, preparation of materials Conduct interview follow-up, request and distribute feedback from interviewers Coordinate lateral onboarding in tandem with the greater Firm HR team Maintain applicant tracking system for lateral candidates Develop and maintain relationships with local external recruiting professionals Business Services Recruiting Liaise with the Business Services Recruiting Manager to support all business services hiring activity in the Washington, DC office. Other duties as needed Serve as the recruiting specialist in the DC office, greet and shepherd candidates throughout interviews and office visits Respond to questions and requests from candidates, summer associates, attorneys, colleagues in other business service departments and external vendors Monitor budget, expenses and reimbursements Travel as needed, projects as assigned Key requirements (Communication/skills/experience) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university 2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment Possesses the ability to work independently and be proactive Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be a team player and exercise good judgment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Superior organizational skills and have strong attention to detail Must exhibit a high energy level, be able to work under pressure and have a professional demeanor The ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York and California, Freshfields is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the States of New York and California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
