Housing Officer Permanent Grade C- £35,412 - £44,075 ( pro rata for part time ) Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Part Time - Working 30 hours per week, Office based This is an opportunity to work in a customer focused service to let Council homes efficiently with a focus on sustaining tenancies. Providing advice and information to colleagues, customers and stakeholders relating to ending tenancies, bidding for properties, the repairs standard as well as advising on the viewing and sign-up processes. You will be responsible for monitoring: return of keys from outgoing tenants advertising of properties properties are shortlisted promptly enquiries are dealt with effectively Liaising with the repairs team and share information to ensure that void periods are kept to a minimum and re-letting targets are achieved, you will also update computer systems promptly and accurately and check compliance with our legal obligations to provide up to date certificates for properties. You will be responsible for managing a team and providing direction on priorities in a busy environment. Monitoring the completion of key tasks to ensure a seamless process through to the sign-up process is an important aspect of the role alongside covering in the absence of colleagues, is essential to minimise delays in reletting properties. Managing requests for properties in line with procedures, including decanted tenants, to ensure compliance and transparency and undertaking viewings and property checks as required. This role is mainly office based due to the need to supervise staff, process keys, directly liaise with repairs staff.
