He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance on the areas of this commercial building.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in Mechanical building maintenance. In return, my client is offering a very competitive package including:A basic salary of up to £50,000Plenty of overtime AP steam trainingCall out25 days holiday plus bank holidayCompany Pension SchemeExcellent career progression opportunitiesHours of workMonday to Friday –07:00 am to 16:00 pm / 10:00 am to 19:00 pmKey Duties & ResponsibilitiesCarry out and support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and monitoring of steam systems within a commercial building, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant performance.Undertake planned preventative maintenance PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical services, including steam plant, boilers, pipework, valves, pumps, and associated equipment.Act as a senior technical point of contact for mechanical and steam-related issues, providing practical support and guidance to engineers and technicians on site.Assist with the safe isolation, start-up, and shutdown of steam and mechanical plant in line with site procedures and permit-to-work requirements.Support statutory compliance by assisting with inspections, testing, and documentation, ensuring records, logbooks, and certifications are kept up to date.Liaise with subcontractors and service providers to support maintenance works, breakdowns, and inspections, ensuring work is completed to required standards.Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults, contributing to root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimise repeat failures.Support the review and completion of risk assessments and method statements RAMS relating to mechanical and steam works.Contribute to plant efficiency and reliability by identifying commercially viable improvements to maintenance practices, energy usage, and system performance.Provide cover and support to the wider engineering team as required, maintaining a flexible, hands-on approach to site operationsRequirementsMechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 EssentialMust be able to provide copies of your trade certificatesPrevious experience with steam and pressure systemsA proven track record in commercial building maintenanceMulti-skilledGood communication skillsClient Facing Please send your CV to Alex Denton of CBW Staffing Solutions to avoid missing out on the role
