The Role We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Compliance Team Leader to take senior ownership of purchasing operations and lead a growing team. This role is responsible for forecasting, purchasing, inbound logistics, quality control coordination and regulatory compliance, ensuring stock availability, margin protection and accurate system data. You will work closely with the Head of Procurement and the wider senior leadership team to support continued business growth. Key Responsibilities * Inventory forecasting and demand planning (Slimstock) * Purchasing and purchase order management * Supplier and product master data governance (OrderWise ERP) * Inbound container freight and forwarder management * ISO-standard quality control and supplier performance monitoring * Import compliance and regulatory management * Leadership, stakeholder engagement and team development Skills & Experience (Essential) * Proven procurement leadership experience in a fast-moving, multi-supplier environment * Strong experience managing UK, EU and Asian supply chains * Forecasting and demand planning expertise (Slimstock or similar) * ERP and master data governance experience (OrderWise preferred) * Freight negotiation and inbound logistics management * Strong commercial awareness: landed cost, margin protection, stock risk * Experience managing import compliance and audit-ready documentation * Confident communicator at senior leadership level * Demonstrated people management and team-building capability Salary & Benefits * £50,000pa–£70,000pa basic salary (depending on experience) * Profit share scheme * Pension scheme * Life assurance (4x salary) * WPA Health Scheme Career & Culture * Clear long-term career progression * Extensive product, sales and systems training * Exposure to senior stakeholders and leadership * Supportive, close-knit team culture * 23 days holiday bank holidays * On-site parking This is an office-based role in Coalville.
