Spire Little Aston Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join their team to work full time on a permanent basis.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. To provide an exemplary specialist technical service to support the pharmacy department and other areas of the hospital that stock medicines, working within own level of competence and in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and Spire Healthcare policies and procedures.
2. Contribute to the safe and effective use of medicines, ensuring cost efficiency.
3. Assist in delivering pharmaceutical care to meet patient’s health and wellbeing needs.
4. Assist in assessing people’s health and wellbeing within the context of their medicines.
5. Movement and management of medicines.
6. Establish and maintain communication with people about pharmacy activities and medicines.
7. Modify and structure data, information, computer records and stock management documents.
8. Develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others.
9. Contribute to the development and implementation of services
10. Monitor and maintain health and safety and security of self and others.
11. Contribute to quality improvement.
12. Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights.
Who we're looking for:
13. A Pharmacy Technician who can work effectively as part of a team.
14. A Pharmacy Dispenser will also be considered for this vacancy dependent on experience.
15. GPC Registered / Dispensing Qualification
16. Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
17. Ability to pay attention to detail and produce and maintain accurate records
18. IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office.
19. Experience of administrative duties. ordering, receiving, data checking, audits
