The Warehouse Agent handles and processes e-commerce parcels within the cargo warehouse following established guidelines. Responsibilities include operating small specialized vehicles, heavy lifting, and parcel inspection. The role involves activities inside the cargo warehouse, airside, or landside.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate parcel handling systems, including roller systems and x-ray units.
* Inspect cargo upon acceptance for tampering, damage, or pilferage and report irregularities.
* Transfer freight using forklifts or hand trucks to storage or designated areas.
* Sort and store materials according to destination or other criteria.
* Handle dangerous goods appropriately.
* Fill requisitions and distribute materials as needed.
* Open containers, record counts, and ensure cargo accuracy.
* Perform cargo build-up or breakdown on skids, pallets, or ULDs.
* Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
* Follow all safety policies, including PPE usage and equipment operation.
* Screen cargo physically and via X-ray screening.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $19 - $21.00 per hour.
Qualifications
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
* Valid driver’s license with no violations in the past 5 years.
* Availability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
* Pass driver’s test for Airport Operational Area (AOA) and obtain license.
* Pass FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
* Ability to lift at least 75 pounds repeatedly.
* Pre-employment medical and drug tests clearance.
Working Conditions
Work involves indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes without climate control. The role requires maintaining professionalism, especially when dealing with customers at the airport.
Physical Requirements
Must frequently stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, climb, balance, and communicate. Lifting up to 70 lbs is required, with frequent lifting of 25 lbs.
