Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with full mobility support using a ceiling track hoist
* Prepare meals and assist with feeding; monitor intake
* Administer medication, including controlled pain relief (training provided)
* Manage a suprapubic catheter; support with bowel continence
* Monitor emotional wellbeing – client may experience occasional suicidal ideation
* Support with communication, allowing time and patience
* Enable access to the community with the client’s partner or other carers
* Work closely with the wider healthcare team as needs evolve
Client Overview:
* Currently has full mental capacity but likely to decline due to MS
* Generally in good spirits and communicative
* Requires full physical support (wheelchair/bed bound)
* Breathlessness at times – CPAP or cough assist may be introduced
* No current skin integrity issues
* PEG feeding under discussion for future needs
Who We’re Looking For:
* Female carers only (as per client preference – Equality Act compliant)
* Experience with complex care preferred: hoisting, catheter care, medication
* Calm, compassionate, and emotionally aware
* Reliable and confident working days or nights in a small, consistent team
* Willing to undertake additional training as condition progresses
