Rotherwood Education are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to join one of our valued partner schools in Haslingden. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed school environment – all while being part of a supportive facilities team.
Position Details:
* Job Title: Site Supervisor
* Location: Haslingden
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (1 month initially, with potential for extension)
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
* Daily Rate: £97.69 – £110 per day
About the Role:
As Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and security of the school premises. From minor repairs and general maintenance to managing site access and ensuring health & safety procedures are followed, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and safely.
You’ll work closely with the wider school team and may also liaise with contractors or suppliers when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs around the site
* Ensuring all areas of the school are clean, safe, and secure
* Opening and locking the premises, managing site access as required
* Responding promptly to urgent maintenance or health & safety issues
* Supporting with classroom setups and preparing shared spaces
* Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance needs
* Liaising with external contractors and suppliers when necessary
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience in a facilities, caretaker, or site supervisor role (ideally in a school setting)
* Be knowledgeable about building maintenance, health & safety, and compliance standards
* Be confident carrying out minor repairs and practical site duties
* Be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
* Demonstrate good communication and organisational skills
* Be flexible with a proactive, can-do attitude
