Job Title: Teacher - GCSE Science - 14+ Academies Salary: Commencing at £30,527 with progression to £34,349 per annumClosing Date: About the Role

Leeds City College are recruiting for a GCSE Science Teacher to join our outstanding 14+ Academies team. We are seeking a passionate, talented and supportive individual to support our learners. The ideal candidate will have recent experience teaching Science to students aged 14 to 16.

What You Will Do

The main duties of the role will include but not be limited to the following:

* Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
* Update, reflect and maintain the 14+ Academies tracking systems continuously, allowing you to recognise the need for interventions and subsequently putting them in place.
* Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
* Work within the 14+ Academies ethos and culture as well as using relevant tools and concepts such as the effort descriptors and APLs (Academy Progress Levels).
* Set targets with individual learners to assist in their academic or development progress, including at Personal Progress Days and the writing of parent/carer reports.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

* Experience and knowledge of supporting young people both academically and developmentally, including those aged 14-16.
* Recent teaching delivery in relevant subject areas.
* Experience of positively managing learner academic progress in an education setting, including those aged 14-16.
* Ability to work positively and effectively as a member of a team and on own initiative.
