Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a critical role in shaping the companys strategic direction, driving profitability, and enhancing commercial excellence. You will lead pricing strategy, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the business remains competitive, maximizes margins, and delivers long-term value. Key Accountabilities: Strategic Pricing & Profitability Optimization: Develop and execute a strategic pricing framework that balances market competitiveness, profitability, and long-term customer value. Provide insight-driven pricing recommendations, incorporating market trends, competitor benchmarking, and margin analysis. Own the tender management process, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with business strategy. Lead a delivery review framework, analysing actual vs. projected profitability and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Identify and implement margin improvement opportunities across customers, markets, and product lines. Commercial Strategy & Business Alignment: Act as the strategic bridge between Sales, Finance, Operations and Customer Care, ensuring commercial priorities and customer outcomes are fully aligned with overall business objectives. Lead and develop the Customer Services team, setting clear objectives, performance metrics, and development plans to ensure high service quality and strong commercial awareness. Drive close collaboration between Customer Care and Sales to improve customer retention, responsiveness, and value realization. Lead the Sales Pipeline alignment process, ensuring robust profitability forecasting and adherence to the Pricing Excellence Programme. Establish, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs for both commercial performance and customer service effectiveness, providing actionable insights to leadership. Data-Driven Decision Making & Business Intelligence: Develop dynamic, real-time reporting platforms that enhance decision-making agility. Utilize data analytics and financial modeling to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Continuously refine business systems and commercial processes to improve efficiency and decision-making accuracy. Innovation & Commercial Excellence Champion commercial innovation, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance pricing strategies and market positioning. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring pricing structures, cost control, and operational efficiency align with profitability goals. Balance strategic pricing, cost management, and operational efficiencies to optimize commercial returns. Contracting, SLAs & Commercial Governance Define, implement, and continuously improve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that balance customer expectations, operational capability, and commercial profitability. Lead the development and governance of customer contracts and supporting commercial agreements, ensuring clarity, consistency, and risk mitigation. Partner with Legal, Operations, and Customer Care to ensure SLAs and contracts are operationally executable and commercially sustainable. Monitor SLA performance and contract compliance, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement where required. Capable of delivering effective change management, you will demonstrate agility, energy and enthusiasm achieving success through inspiring teams to engage and contribute. Skills & Competences: Part or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA, Have professional experience in Sales and or Commercial arenas Highly numerate and analytical. Strong I.T. skills ERP and data capture. Advanced excel capability. Knowledge of ODBC (open data base connectivity) would be useful.
