Job Summary
We are seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker (RSW) to join our Care Academy and provide dedicated support to young people in our homes. The role involves day-to-day care, educational support, and recreational activities, aiming to enhance the lives of individuals with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Qualifications
* Positive, can‑do attitude and teamwork
* Honesty and empathy toward young people and colleagues
* Resilience to handle challenging situations
* Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – if not held, we will support you to study
* Enhanced DBS check (cost covered) and online search
Responsibilities
* Ensure young people are ready for school, support homework and educational tasks
* Complete paperwork and plan activities that promote learning and well‑being
* Provide personal care and daily support, maintaining a safe and respectful environment
* Organise and supervise recreational activities on evenings and weekends
* Respond to emergencies and maintain accurate incident reports
Benefits & Salary
* Base salary £29,034 – £35,400 (depending on experience)
* Bonus: up to 4 paid sleep‑ins per month (£80 per sleep, approx. £3,840 per year) plus £1,400 attendance allowance conditional on good attendance
