Job Opportunity: HR Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated HR professional to lead our HR advice and support team. The team focuses on advising and supporting managers and staff to maximize performance and positive impact. The successful candidate will ensure our HR service responds effectively to current and future business needs, based at our friendly, accessible Head Office in Stockport.
Key responsibilities include promoting excellent customer care, maintaining positive, person-centered values, and ensuring confidentiality. With support from the Head of People and Performance, you will lead a small team to deliver high-quality, holistic HR advice aligned with our core values and business priorities in areas such as:

3. Workplace conduct and discipline
4. Attendance and sickness management
5. Welfare and stress prevention
6. Employee health and wellbeing
7. Motivation, satisfaction, and retention
8. Career development and upskilling
9. Inclusion and diversity
10. Relations with trade unions and workplace representatives
11. Fostering a positive working culture
Applicants should demonstrate substantial HR experience and expertise in these areas. Leadership skills, the ability to motivate and empower a team, and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be personable, solution-focused, and able to engage positively at all levels of staff and management.
You must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage data and produce professional reports. A good standard of written English is required. A degree or equivalent education is desirable, along with a recognized HR qualification, either achieved or in progress. Opportunities for professional development and soft skills training are available.
Willingness to travel across various sites is necessary; being a driver is not required. The role is mainly based in the office, with flexible working hours, and both full-time and part-time applications are welcome.
