ECoW Ecologist Milton Keynes (site-based) £25,000 – £40,000 DOE Annual Bonus Scheme Full-time, Permanent Are you an experienced ECoW Ecologist looking to take ownership of a major project with real responsibility on-site? We’re working with a well-established environmental consultancy that has secured an exciting, long-term project near Milton Keynes, and they are looking for a confident Ecologist to lead Ecological Clerk of Works duties and manage contractor compliance on-site. The Role This is a hands-on, site-based position where you’ll play a key role in ensuring ecological compliance throughout construction. Key responsibilities include: * Acting as the lead ECoW on-site * Supervising and managing a range of contractors to ensure compliance with ecological requirements * Delivering toolbox talks and site briefings * Overseeing mitigation measures and protected species works * Producing concise site reports and maintaining accurate records * Liaising with project managers, clients, and site teams About You To be considered, you should have: * 3–5 years’ ECoW experience * Strong experience managing contractors on-site * Solid understanding of UK ecological legislation and best practice * Confident communication skills and ability to challenge when needed * Full UK driving licence Protected species licences (e.g. bats, GCN) would be advantageous but are not essential.
