Business Development Manager
Patch: Middle England (East or West Midlands & Surrounding areas)
Salary & Benefits: £45,000 base + uncapped 25% commission + 10% bonus on selected products + company car

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Middle England, representing a leading international provider of access control, automation, and security solutions.

The Opportunity:
* Manage a patch of 97 live accounts, currently spending £650k, with a target of £800k.
* Identify and win new business, build strong relationships, and re-engage dormant accounts.
* Influence specification and project decisions from early-stage design through completion.
* Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and exhibitions.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams – sales, technical support, and marketing – to deliver seamless solutions.
* Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM records, reporting on KPIs and business objectives.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in business development, field sales, or technical sales.
* Strong self-starter who can generate leads independently.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Exposure to access control, electronic security, or low-voltage sectors.
* Existing relationships with installers, integrators, or distributors.
* Technical confidence to discuss product solutions.
* Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling.
Flexibility Across Sectors:
While experience in electronic security is beneficial, the company welcomes candidates from similar sectors.
