Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis for a growing FMCG organisation near Newport.
This pivotal role will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function, acting as a strategic business partner to the leadership team. The Head of FP&A will be responsible for driving financial performance, providing insightful analysis, and ensuring robust financial planning and forecasting processes across the organization. A critical aspect of this role is a deep understanding of operational manufacturing and product costing within an FMCG environment, enabling informed decision-making and efficiency improvements. This individual will be both hands-on in diving into the details and strategic in shaping the financial future of the company. You'll work closely with the leadership team and liaise with the PE house to drive business improvements and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Planning & Forecasting:
2. Develop and lead the annual budget process, long-range strategic plans, and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
3. Provide insightful analysis of financial performance against targets, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
4. Partner with senior leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, providing financial modelling and recommendations.
5. Both analysis and onboarding activities with acquisition targets.
6. Operational Manufacturing Finance & Product Costing:
7. Oversee the development and maintenance of accurate product costing models, incorporating raw materials, labour, overheads, and other relevant factors.
8. Partner closely with the manufacturing and operations teams to analyse production costs, identify inefficiencies, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
9. Business Partnering & Analysis:
10. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to key stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain.
11. Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making on pricing, promotions, product launches, and other strategic initiatives.
12. Process Improvement & Systems:
13. Continuously evaluate and improve FP&A processes and reporting capabilities.
14. Creation of dashboards using Power BI
Qualifications & Experience:
15. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
16. Deep and demonstrable understanding of operational manufacturing finance and product costing methodologies
On offer: Salary from £80,000 to £90,000 plus bonus and benefits with hybrid working available.
