Who We're Looking For
We seek technical experts with a growing profile in the flood risk management industry, capable of leading hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects—including 1D and 2D models for rivers, surface water, and sewers.
You Should Have
* Strong project management skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Confidence in leading technical work.
* A passion for mentoring junior team members.
* Excellent client‑facing and collaborative working skills.
Requirements
* A degree in Geography, Science, or Civil Engineering (ideally with an MSc or postgraduate qualification).
* Experience or working knowledge of 1D‑2D hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM) — or a strong desire to learn.
* GIS skills — or willingness to develop them.
* Experience in flood risk analysis for planning, development, and design.
* Experience in hydrological assessments — or a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities
* Define project scope, manage resources, and oversee project delivery.
* Lead technical work in data analysis, hydraulic modelling, hydrology, GIS, and reporting.
* Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, and planners.
* Support business development, including tendering and stakeholder engagement.
* Develop expertise in project procedures, including financial and change control, reporting, presenting, and quality assurance.
* Assist project managers and directors in delivering a range of strategic infrastructure projects.
