The Opportunity
Join a dynamic financial services organisation as a Technical Delivery Manager where you'll drive ICT project execution across infrastructure initiatives. This role suits a proactive project professional who cuts through complexity and ensures technical teams deliver results without compromise. You'll oversee critical projects including data center transitions and legacy system retirement from conception through completion.
What You'll Be Doing
* Drive multiple technical projects simultaneously, establishing clear task ownership and real-time progress tracking
* Manage comprehensive risk and issue registers, ensuring swift escalation of roadblocks with defined mitigation strategies
* Lead accountability through structured team check-ins and persistent follow-up on commitments
* Streamline governance processes with practical change management approaches
* Diagnose project delays at source level and implement corrective measures including skills development or process refinement
What We're Looking For
* 5+ years delivering technical infrastructure projects (networking, data centers, cloud transformations)
* Background in complex technical delivery within large-scale or financial services organisations
* Demonstrated success completing challenging ICT initiatives on schedule, including instances where you've overcome team pushback and enforced accountability
* Strong foundation in structured project methodologies (APM/Prince2 or similar)
* Technical competence to challenge engineering teams and question delivery estimates with authority
* Proven ability to drive project completion through focused execution and clear ownership assignment
* Strong analytical approach to problem-solving with emphasis on practical solutions
* Skilled at adapting communication approach for both technical teams and executive stakeholders
