In this role, you will support the preparation and service of food and drinks, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene, and ensure every customer receives a warm welcome. This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in their work.

Actual Salary: £17,236.31 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday (7:30am - 1:30pm) / 30 hours per week

Essential Criteria
* Relevant Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to work towards this)
* Recent experience in a similar catering or customer‑facing role
* Experience of food preparation, cooking and service
* Friendly, professional manner with excellent timekeeping
* Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, with good communication skills

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of food, snacks, drinks and baked items within the College’s catering facilities
* Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic kitchen and eating area at all times
* Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service, exceeding customer expectations
* Be visible, approachable and knowledgeable about the food items available throughout service periods
* Work collaboratively as a positive member of the catering team, supporting wider Estates and Facilities where needed
* Report customer requests and complaints promptly to the Catering Manager
* Undertake mandatory and role‑specific training, contributing to continuous improvement and service quality
