Key Information
Contract: Fixed‑term, 2 years.
Hours: 35 hours per week (full‑time). Part‑time requests (minimum 0.8 FTE) will be considered.
Location: Sutton with hybrid working. Occasional work from our Chelsea site.
Closing Date: 3 December 2025. The vacancy may be closed early once sufficient applications are received.
Right to Work: No visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
Salary: Appointments usually made at the starting salary; relevant skills and experience will be considered.
About The Role
As a Contracts Associate, you will provide a professional and efficient contracts review, negotiation and advice service to the Institute of Cancer Research to enable a range of research and commercial activities.
The ICR recently implemented a new contracts lifecycle management system; this role offers the chance to work in a modern setting, significantly reducing administrative workload and automating routine tasks.
Key Requirements
* Degree level education or equivalent, with an understanding of research contractual issues.
* Experience working in a contracts team within higher‑education or research organisations.
* Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to interpret contract terms, manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
