Overview / Objective:
The NFL UK & Ireland office manages the NFL’s business in the UK & Ireland, including the staging of regular‑season games in London and across multiple international cities, including our first NFL international game in Paris, Rio, and Melbourne, as well as returning to Mexico, Munich and Madrid. NFL UK & Ireland also manage broadcast and commercial relationships, grassroots and community activity, fan events and marketing initiatives.
The objective of the internship is to give the next generation superstar an opportunity to gain work experience and insights into the sports industry.
During the internship students will explore and experience all aspects of Consumer Products and Marketing through engaging project assignments, events, mentoring relationships, and networking opportunities.
Training opportunities in presentation skills, essential office skills, and Microsoft IT software training will be offered throughout the placement.
Marketing
* Experience a wide range of marketing initiatives and areas to broaden your skills and experience in the sports industry.
* Support the marketing team to make the NFL a top followed League in the UK and Ireland by entertaining and engaging our existing fans and attracting new fans (especially those aged 12‑24).
* Contribute to the NFL UK & Ireland marketing team, driving the League forward through boundary‑pushing marketing, fresh ideas, creative thinking and energy.
* Work on youth‑focused projects such as the NFL Schools Program, Unidays partnership, NFL Flag marketing, youth newsletters, influencer marketing and social/digital initiatives to achieve our fandom and participation objectives.
* Collaborate with team members working with commercial and CP partners, GMP teams, International Games participating teams, broadcasters and marketing agencies to maximise marketing efforts.
* Support the delivery of best‑in‑class fan experiences, events, content, influencer activity, fan communications and campaigns across the 2026 London Games.
Required Qualifications:
* Right to work in the UK
* Interest in Sports Marketing & Retail
* Completed A‑Level or B‑TEC qualifications
* Basic level IT skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
* Available for the full duration of the internship from August 2026 to March 2027

Terms / Expected Hours of Work:
The internship is a full‑time paid role (40 hours per week), based out of the NFL UK & Ireland office in Central London, Leicester Square. The candidate will work 4/5 days per week in the office, with occasional off‑site meetings and events around London and the UK. Additional overtime or weekend work may be required for London Game fixtures and activations. Relocation costs will not be provided.
