Key Responsibilities
* Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a varied client portfolio
* Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and ensuring excellent client service
* Liaising with HMRC regarding payroll queries and resolutions
* Preparing year-end payroll routines and returns
* Managing Auto Enrolment and statutory submissions in line with deadlines
* Processing CIS returns and related submissions
* Uploading payroll payments via BACS
* Supporting wider payroll team activities and providing cover where required
* Building strong working relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
* Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum of 3 years’ payroll processing experience
* Previous bureau or accountancy practice payroll experience preferred
* Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, RTI, statutory payments, and Auto Enrolment
* Experience managing multiple payrolls and working to strict deadlines
* Confident carrying out manual payroll calculations where required
