Job Description Summary

GE’s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for high‑performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonisation, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.

Job Purpose

The Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that warehousing and logistics operations for the GE PC spare parts team run compliantly, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. With approximately £1.5m of third‑party contract spend under management, this role requires someone who is organised, accountable and customer focused, applying a SQDC mindset to day‑to‑day decisions and always looking for ways to improve how we operate. Parts are held in a 3rd‑party European central warehouse (CEVA), and this role is the primary point of contact for that relationship.

What You Will Do

3rd Party Warehouse Management (CEVA)

* Day‑to‑day management of the CEVA relationship, ensuring service levels are met and spend delivers value for money
* Lead regular operational reviews and escalations or resolve issues in a timely manner
* Track and manage performance against agreed KPIs, driving accountability where standards are not met
* Identify and implement process improvements, working collaboratively with CEVA to embed better ways of working
* Coordinate with internal PC Parts teams globally where warehouse activity has wider impact
* Ensure operations remain compliant with international regulations, GE policy and legal requirements

End‑to‑End Logistics

* Manage the logistics flow from supplier collection through to customer delivery, including customs and export/import requirements
* Resolve issues along the supply chain promptly, keeping customer impact front of mind
* Support the team in prioritising and managing competing demands effectively

Inventory Accuracy

* Take ownership of inventory accuracy across the European central warehouse
* Put in place appropriate controls, counts and corrective actions to maintain integrity
* Treat discrepancies seriously — investigate root causes and prevent recurrence through the NC process

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

* Maintain and develop KPIs, tools and reports that give clear visibility of operational performance
* Use data to identify trends, support decision making and highlight areas for improvement
* Embrace lean principles in daily working and encourage the same in others

Your Role in the Parts Co Team

* Work closely with colleagues across the Parts business locally and globally, contributing to a one‑team approach
* Liaise with key stakeholders on shared tools and processes
* Bring a practical, solutions‑focused mindset to operational challenges
* Support the development of lean ways of working across the team

What We Are Looking For

Day to Day

* Organised and methodical — manages workload and competing priorities effectively
* Accurate and diligent — takes ownership and follows things through
* Customer focused — understands that internal and external customers deserve the same standard of service
* Accountable — when things go wrong, investigates, resolves and improves
* A continuous improver — always looking for a better, smarter way of doing things

With People

* Builds effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and third‑party partners
* Communicates clearly and confidently — written and verbal
* Comfortable holding external partners to account in a professional and constructive way

Qualifications / Requirements

* Educated to degree, HNC or equivalent knowledge and experience
* Background in inventory / materials management and international logistics experience
* Understanding of export/import procedures
* Experience with an ERP
* Knowledge of warehouse management and store procedures
* User of Microsoft Office packages, including advanced knowledge in Excel or data‑management tools
