3-4 month contract role with a local authority Summary This is a 3-4 month contract role with a local authority, focusing on leading and delivering expert job evaluation services across the organization and for external clients using Hay and NJC evaluation schemes. The role is crucial in ensuring a fair, consistent, and equality-compliant pay and grading structure across all NJC roles, including the council, schools estate, academies, and arms-length organisations. Responsibilities Serve as the organization's subject matter expert in applying Hay and NJC job evaluation schemes. Provide professional advice and guidance to managers on job design, organizational structures, and evaluation processes. Ensure consistent and equitable job evaluation outcomes, maintaining internal pay equity. Manage complex and high-profile job evaluation and organizational design casework. Lead and support organizational restructures, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. Develop and review policies, procedures, and guidance in line with legislative and best practice changes. Collaborate with HR, Workforce, and OD teams to provide expert analysis and advice. Design and deliver job evaluation training and briefings for HR colleagues, managers, and trade union representatives. Essential Experience Extensive experience applying Hay Guide Chart and NJC Job Evaluation schemes. Proven experience in organizational design and workforce planning. Experience working collaboratively with Trade Unions or employee representatives. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex and sometimes conflicting information to produce robust recommendations. Essential Qualifications Professionally qualified in a numerical, analytical, or logical discipline (or equivalent experience). Formal training in Hay and NJC job evaluation methodologies. Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD). Additional Information Working hours: 37 hours per week. Location: Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG2 7QP, United Kingdom. Work pattern: Expectation to be in the office 2 days a week. Schedule: Bi-weekly.
