We are looking for TWO new Non-Executive Directors to join our Boards from September 2026.
One will join the Stockport Homes Board (parent), and the other will join our Three Sixty Board (subsidiary).
We want to appoint Board Members with a background in strategic asset management, development, building safety / compliance and regeneration to enhance the overall skills mix across these two Boards.
We’re proud to be a unique landlord where entrepreneurship and commercialisation go hand in hand with social impact. Our mission of “One Team, Transforming Lives” guides our work.
You will need to have a passion and interest in the work of the social housing sector and have a proven ability to contribute to strategic decision-making.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate one or more of the following:

• Knowledge and experience of strategic asset management, including Building Safety and Compliance.

We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and value the lived experience that different people bring to our organisation. Candidates should be able to bring a unique perspective to discussions and decision making at the very top of the organisation, to ensure we can continue to deliver excellent services to customers and transform communities.
The commitment you’ll be making will be to an average of one early evening meeting per month (plus reading time) and several training or away days each year. Roles receive a modest remuneration and reasonable expenses are covered.
SHG has a commitment to ensuring that employees and the Board represent the diversity of the population of Stockport and the wider Greater Manchester area. We would particularly encourage applications from people who are from women working in this field, from people from an ethnic minority background, those who are LGBTQ+ or who have disabilities.
The successful candidates will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme, as well as access to training and development opportunities and a Board Member mentoring scheme.
If you want to be part of our strategic leadership and help shape our future and support our strong social aims, we look forward to hearing from you!
