What you will do: * Conduct holistic assessments of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, including age assessments where required. * Develop and implement care and support plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. * Liaise with the Home Office and other relevant agencies to manage asylum processes and advocate for the children's rights. * Provide emotional support and guidance to children who have experienced trauma and loss, often with limited English proficiency. * Maintain accurate case records, prepare detailed reports, and provide evidence in court when necessary. * Collaborate with health professionals, education providers, legal representatives, and community organisations to coordinate comprehensive care. * Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development to maintain best practice standards. Essential Qualifications and Skills: * Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). * Experience working with children in care, preferably with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children or vulnerable young people. * Strong understanding of child protection, asylum law, and relevant legislation affecting UASC. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and cultural sensitivity. * Ability to write clear, comprehensive court reports and assessments. * Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
