Account Manager - Account Growth Focus

We are working with my client to hire an Account Manager whose primary focus will be on growing and expanding existing customer accounts. This role is ideal for someone commercially minded, relationship-driven, and motivated by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities while delivering genuine value to clients.
The Role
As Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of existing clients, acting as their main point of contact and trusted advisor. Your success will be measured by account growth, retention, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts, with a clear focus on revenue expansion
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding client needs, challenges, and future plans
* Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
* Conduct regular account reviews and performance check-ins
* Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, delivery, product, and support) to ensure seamless client experience
* Track account performance against targets and report on growth metrics
* Proactively address risks to retention and identify opportunities to add further value
About You
* Proven experience as an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar role
* Demonstrated success in growing existing accounts rather than pure new business sales
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
* Comfortable working with targets and revenue goals
* Highly organised, proactive, and client-focused
