Job Title: Transport Clerical / Admin Trainee Shift Manager
Location: Garanor Way, Portbury, Bristol, BS20 0NE
Salary: £13.33 – £14.87 per hour (first 12 weeks), then £29,000 per year permanent, with potential progression up to £39,000
Job Type: Temp-to-perm, Full-time
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 10:00–18:00 or 14:00–22:00 (cover required; main shift 14:00–22:00 once permanent)
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team in an Admin / Trainee Shift Manager role. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who wants to develop into a management position within 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Shift Manager with daily operations
Track deliveries and update records accurately
Handle driver and customer queries professionally
Monitor driver hours, breaks, and compliance with regulations
Maintain accurate logs and internal records
Assist with reports and general paperwork
Learn and apply driver compliance and Working Time Directive rules
Requirements
Previous experience in administration, transport, or logistics preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proactive, willing to learn, and adaptable
Flexibility to cover different shifts (mainly 14:00–22:00, plus daytime for training/cover)
Ambition to progress into a management role within 12 months
