GSL Education are seeking an SEMH Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in Dinnington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes in a nurturing environment.
As an SEMH Behaviour Mentor, you will:
* Implement behaviour support plans and tailored interventions.
* Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement in learning.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging school environment.
* Help pupils develop coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation.
Requirements for SEMH Behaviour Mentor:
* Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs (highly desirable).
* Strong communication, empathy, and de-escalation skills.
* A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to behaviour management.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
