APS Desktop Engineer
Rate: £125
Clearance Required: BPSS
Duration: 6 months
Location: Worthing full time on site

Role Description
The role will be a technical support engineer within Account Production Services (APS) working on the clients Account. Developing technical skills and working as part of a team in Telford to fault find and resolve technical issues that end users maybe experiencing. Supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, MacOS and O365 whilst developing knowledge to support non-standard applications.
Once training has been completed and you have developed with the role, you may be asked to travel to another Capgemini site to assist with supporting activities. Expenses will be provided.
Tasks
Provide Desktop Support within the client

1. Fault identification and resolution of incidents / requests within contracted SLA targets
2. Mobile solution support (Mobile Phones and Laptops)
3. Software and hardware installation
4. PC Configuration
5. Laptops & MacBook imaging
6. Assisting with IT Stores tasks when required
7. Supporting internal and external events
8. Creating and maintaining support documentation
9. When trained you will be expected to work on the Tech Table or Virtual Tech Table assisting end users with technical issues

10. Windows 10, Windows 11 and MacOS
11. Microsoft Office 2016 O365
12. Hardware - Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Phones and Printers
13. Cisco AnyConnect VPN, SCCM, Active Directory
14. Various software products, applications, and services
15. WiFi Access Points and basic networking principles
16. Meeting room technologies


Mandatory Technical Skills

17. Knowledge of Windows 10 and or Windows 11
18. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Teams and OneDrive
19. Knowledge of Apple devices (MacBooks, iPads and MacOS)
20. Hardware Familiarity (Desktop, Laptop, Printers)

Desirable Technical Skills

21. Knowledge of ServiceNow Management tools
22. Knowledge of Mobility Solutions
23. Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform
24. Previous experience in PC Hardware\Software support
25. Active Directory
26. Understanding of basic networking principles
27. MCSE Certification

28. Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)

31. Organisation
