Newham College is looking for an inspiring Curriculum Manager to lead our Foundation Learning department, delivering outstanding provision for learners aged 1625 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including supported internships.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver a responsive, learner-centred curriculum in partnership with local authorities and stakeholders.
Line manage a dedicated team of teaching staff and job coaches, ensuring effective learner support and staff development.
Deliver between 712 hours of teaching or act as a personal tutor to maintain a strong learner connection.
Ensure quality standards are met through rigorous quality assurance, continuous improvement, and performance monitoring.
Establish strong links with parents, carers, schools, and community organisations to ensure smooth learner transitions.
What Were Looking For:
A degree or substantial experience in a relevant area, ideally with SEND experience.
A full teaching qualification (or working towards one).
Experience in teaching or managing programmes for learners with high needs.
A collaborative leader who can manage complex behaviours and drive quality improvement across the curriculum.
