Job Description To ensure that staff required to work within the Signalling & Telecoms Department are competent in compliance with Translink¿s Infrastructure SMS for working on Railway Safety Critical Assets. To deliver and manage training, examination and ongoing assessment to the Institute of Railway Signalling Engineers (IRSE) competency framework for Signalling and Telecoms staff required to work on NI Railway Signalling Infrastructure. Essential Criteria
1. Possess an HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical engineering field. Or alternatively, Possess a recognised assessing/training qualification i.e. A1 Assessor, V1 Internal Quality Audit, City and Guilds 7331 Train the Trainer.
2. Possess a minimum of five years¿ experience installing, maintaining and faulting on S&T assets. This experience must include the supervising or mentoring of others. Or alternatively, Possess a minimum of 3 years¿ experience training/assessing in a safety critical environment.
3. Experience maintaining databases and electronic records/communications.
Desirable Criteria
4. Possess a professional assessing qualification in the following: A1 Assessor, V1 Internal Quality Audit, City and Guilds 7331 Train the Trainer.
5. ILM level 2 or above certification.
6. Possess SMTH or TMTH.
