This role is to oversee the collection, collation, and distribution of assessment data (SATs, Teacher Assessments, MIDYIS Reading Ages, Spelling Ages KS2/3, KS3/4) both internally and between our partner KS2 and KS4 schools. The role would suit an experienced and suitably qualified person who has experience of developing data systems and reports within an education setting, particularly within the Special Education sector. Many of our young people present with challenging behaviour, and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong empathy and ability to intrinsically connect with pupils with complex SEMH needs and lead in delivering a service that enables flexible data systems that capture pupils' progress against their starting points.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and Inspire: Analyse and interpret data (DfES, LEA, and internal) using databases to produce reports and recommendations for action.
2. Collaborate with Agencies: Work closely with LA colleagues, school leaders, and other external agencies to ensure compliance and effective data systems are in place.
3. Accountability: Prepare and monitor data reports, update and maintain the website, and manage MIS (Arbor).
4. Promote Inclusion: Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, ensuring all pupils and staff members feel valued and supported.

Minimum Requirements:
* Several years of data management experience in a special school setting.
* Experience working with pupils with special educational needs in secondary or special schools or pupil referral units.
* Experience working with challenging pupils.
* Experience developing school reports, data analysis tools, and maintaining MIS.
* Knowledge of data legislation and county policies and procedures.
