Hays Education is working in partnership with a warm, inclusive mainstream primary school seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to lead a small specialist provision of seven pupils across mixed ages.This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact within a nurturing, well-resourced setting where pupils receive tailored support outside the mainstream classroom. Your new role You will be responsible for teaching and supporting a small group of pupils with diverse learning profiles. The provision operates as a self-contained class, allowing you to deliver highly individualised learning experiences that meet each child's developmental stage.Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
* Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
* Working closely with support staff, SENCO and external agencies
* Using assessment to inform personalised learning pathways
* Building strong relationships with pupils and families
What you'll need to succeed
* EYFS experience - this is crucial due to the developmental needs of several pupils
* Strong understanding of SEND, particularly in relation to communication, sensory and social needs
* Ability to adapt teaching creatively for mixed-age, mixed-ability learners
* A nurturing, patient and resilient approach
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
