Technical Project Manager – Data & Analytics

About the role
We’re a global Travel Technology company operating in a highly data‑rich, fast‑moving environment. Data sits at the heart of how we build products, run the business, and make decisions and we’re looking for a Technical Project Manager who can turn complex data and analytics initiatives into real, measurable outcomes.
This is not a role focused on process for its own sake. We want someone who understands technical delivery in data environments and can bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution ensuring data initiatives translate into trusted, usable products that drive action.
You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, product and business stakeholders to deliver data platforms, analytics capabilities, and insight‑driven solutions with clarity, pace, and purpose.
What you’ll do
* Own the end‑to‑end delivery of technical data and analytics initiatives, ensuring each delivers clear business and customer value.
* Act as an active member of Agile or hybrid delivery teams, applying Agile practices pragmatically to data and technical work.
* Serve as a servant leader, proactively removing technical and non‑technical impediments such as:
* Data quality and reliability issues
* Access constraints and tooling limitations
* Architecture or dependency risks
* Unclear ownership or decision bottlenecks
* Facilitate key delivery touchpoints (stand‑ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives) with a focus on:
* What was delivered/ Technical progress against outcomes/ What needs to change to accelerate delivery
* Work with senior stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and architects to ensure requirements are outcome‑driven and technically feasible, prioritised by impact rather than volume.
* Translate strategy and demand into clear, technically informed delivery plans, balancing speed, quality, and sustainability.
* Manage cross‑team technical dependencies and sequencing, mitigating risks early and enabling teams to focus on execution.
* Maintain transparent, decision‑focused communication, clearly articulating progress, risks, trade‑offs, and expected outcomes.
* Plan and manage releases of data products, platforms, and analytics capabilities, supporting adoption and ongoing improvement.
What we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re delivery‑focused, technically curious, and comfortable operating in complex data environments.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Strong experience as a Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or Scrum Master, with experience delivering data, analytics, BI, or data platform initiatives.
* A strong track record of delivering technical outcomes, not just managing plans or ceremonies.
* Experience working with multi‑disciplinary technical teams, including data engineers, analysts, developers, and architects.
* A pragmatic approach to Agile delivery in technical and data environments, adapting ways of working to suit the problem and maturity of the teams.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to:
* Translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
* Focus conversations on value and outcomes
* Drive timely decisions in ambiguous situations
* Confidence operating in matrixed environments with competing priorities and dependencies.
* The ability to manage technical delivery flow, dependencies, and risk, keeping work moving toward tangible results.
* A results‑oriented mindset, ensuring technical outputs lead to insight, adoption, and measurable impact.
* Hands‑on experience with delivery tooling such as Jira, Aha!, or similar platforms.
Experience in travel technology or other complex, data‑driven industries is advantageous but not essential.
