Paint Technician – Southampton ARC
Job Purpose:
1. Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask vehicle surfaces to remove defects and ensure optimal paint adhesion. This includes priming surfaces before painting.
2. Paint Application: Mix, match, and apply paint using spray guns and other tools to achieve a smooth and even finish. This involves applying primers, base coats, and clear coats.
3. Quality Control: Inspect finished work for color consistency, texture, and defects to ensure high quality finish checking imperfectionsor inconsistencies in the paint job.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment,including spray guns, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
5. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality to ensure high standards in paint application and finish.
6. Technical Skills: Knowledge of various painting techniques, materialsand safety procedures in automotive painting.
