Bring Learning to Life for Primary Pupils Across Northumberland
Make a Real Difference—One Child at a Time
As a primary teacher, you understand the power of connection—the spark in a child’s eye when they "get it", the confidence that grows with gentle encouragement, and the joy of learning made fun and meaningful.
At TP Tutors, we’re looking for passionate primary educators like you to provide targeted one-to-one tuition to pupils across Northumberland—especially those who are out of mainstream education and need extra support to thrive.
Whether you’re looking for a change of pace, flexible working around family life, or a way to make a deeper impact beyond the classroom, this is your chance to help children rebuild confidence, rediscover their love of learning, and feel seen and supported.
Who You’ll Be Supporting:
You'll work with a variety of learners, including:
* Children in care (Looked After Children)
* Pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Children awaiting school placements or facing exclusion
* Primary-aged learners who have fallen behind or lost confidence
These children need more than just help with reading or maths—they need a warm, patient teacher who understands how to nurture trust, spark curiosity, and tailor learning to meet them where they are.
What the Role Involves:
* Delivering in-person, engaging English or Maths tuition to primary pupils
* Creating fun, accessible learning tailored to individual needs
* Collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure holistic support
* Using our easy-to-navigate LEAP platform to track progress
* Accessing CPD and teaching resources through our TP Tutors Academy
Why Primary Teachers Love Working With Us:
* Flexible hours that fit around your home life or existing commitments
* Opportunities to make a real, lasting impact on children who need it most
* A chance to return to the heart of teaching—relationship-building and individual growth
* Join a supportive network of fellow educators, working together across Northumberland
We’d Love to Hear From You If You’re:
* A qualified primary teacher with a love for literacy or numeracy
* Warm, empathetic, and skilled at adapting to individual learning styles
* Creative in your approach and confident working one-to-one
* Passionate about helping every child feel safe, seen, and successful
Make a difference beyond the classroom.
