Speech and Language Therapist - Paediatric

To provide Speech and Language Therapy services to children with speech, language and communication needs and their families within Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (Harrogate and Rural and Hambledon and Richmondshire areas).
Post holders could be based at any of the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust Specialist Children's Services bases (usually either Northallerton Child Development Centre or Harrogate Child Development Centre).
Main duties of the job
The post holders are collaborative team members of the HDFT Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team within HDFT Specialist Children's Services (SCS). This includes providing clinical supervision to a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant as necessary.
To independently manage and provide a SLT service for children with speech, language and communication needs within HDFT SCS. The children are aged 0 to 19 years. Caseload management is carried out independently.
To allocate clients, design therapy programmes and provide clinical support and supervision to a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant.
To establish and maintain the quality of the Paediatric SLT service through working towards best practice and developing clinical governance alongside the Team Lead SLT.

Person Specification
* Speech and Language Therapy graduate with membership of HCPC
* Relevant experience at undergraduate or post graduate level of working with children with SLCN
* Car driver and access to own vehicle
* Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
* Experience of working with schools and pre-school settings
* Knowledge and use of Systm1
* Knowledge of SEND and National Curriculum
* Knowledge and experience of EHCP process
* Knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy Paediatric Interventions

£32,073 to £39,043 a year per annum pro rata
