About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a category C Prison located in Oakham. HMP Stocken consists of 1,285 adult males. The Pharmacy at HMP Stocken is not a dispensary pharmacy; there are 6 dispensary hatches within medication/administration points. The pharmacy team consists of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and a Dispenser.
Hours
* Monday – Sunday service
* Weekdays 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
* Weekends and bank holidays 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Salary
This position is full‑time. Annual salary ranges from £34,428 to £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.

Legal and Vetting Requirements
Candidate must have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment are subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Ensure patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times, and ensure SOPs are followed to a high orderly standard.
* Ensure timely administration of medicines and analyse cost‑effective prescribing as defined by our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work together to make a difference to all the people we support, and make Practice Plus Group a place where each of us feels appreciated, challenged, and supported to do our best work.
* Communicate complex or sensitive information while demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation, and general health education so the multidisciplinary healthcare team is appropriately informed.

What We’ll Look For

* NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Relevant post‑qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
* Experience in hospital, community or prison environments is ideal but not essential.
